Dental Bridges In Integrated Smile Studio

A dental bridge is made up of one or more artificial teeth that are permanently secured in place using the natural teeth on either side for support. These supporting teeth anchor the restoration, allowing the bridge to fill the space left by a missing tooth.

Bridges are an effective option for replacing missing teeth both functionally and cosmetically. They restore your ability to chew and speak comfortably while maintaining the natural appearance of your smile. Dental bridges can be crafted from gold alloys, porcelain fused to metal, or all ceramic materials designed to closely match the color of your natural teeth. The material used depends on the location of the bridge, the level of strength required, and aesthetic considerations.

What Is The Purpose Of Needing A Dental Bridge?

Who Is A Candidate For A Dental Bridge?

Our dental team will assess your teeth to determine if a fixed bridge is suitable for you. The bridge will be carefully positioned over two adjacent teeth to ensure a perfect fit and secure placement. Typically, larger bridges tend to be less stable. In the event that we find the bridge alone may not provide sufficient stability, we may suggest using implants to support it.

What Occurs During The Dental Bridge Procedure?

To begin, we will numb your mouth with a local anesthetic. Then, we will shape and file your teeth and take impressions for a temporary and permanent bridge. After shaping and filing, you will leave with the temporary bridge. To get the permanent bridge, schedule a second appointment where we will remove the temporary bridge and securely place the permanent one. We will also polish the bridge and make any necessary adjustments. We will provide instructions on how to care for the bridge to ensure its longevity.
